Since weve been on the subject of teachers lately, I would like to share what a difference one has made in my life. 7th grade Reading class with Mrs. Freeman started me on a lifelong love of literature. Literally, I have never been without a book since, and rarely does a conversation not include yknow, I read a book once..... Everything from Tolstoy to Louis LAmour has passed through my hands and I could count on one hand the number of books that I failed to finish, having such a strong sense of obligation in finishing what Ive started. Throughout my career, Ive written a lot of procedures and correspondence and have received many compliments for my expressions, which I firmly attribute to reading. We believe the best things we did for our children were to read to them and travel, and two of them double majored in English (and film) which undoubtedly contributed to their individual successes. People ask me how I can stand long flights, and I say Ive always got a good book, so Thank You, Mrs. Freeman!
