Sitting here in lvh trauma unit. Facing a decision on surgery for dad..he fell flat on his back yesterday due to the dog pulling him and his feet went out from under. Went by ambulance ..he could not breathe (remember he just had part of his lung removed from cancer). He broke an area in his back...yes I said broke T11. Spinal cord could be in jepardy..he is not allowed to move...so how do you vomit and not move...he has been vomiting thru the night with some blood in it..of course communication is great once again in this hospital (NOT). It is a sit and wait game once again!
