Sitting here in the morning sun.....wishing to thank my great friends, Eva, Mary, Renate and Jim.....who dragged my sobbing, brokenhearted butt outta here last night and to dinner. For a while, my tears dried and a smile came through. We laughed and remembered my Dave..my love and companion for the last 10 years. We remembered when we first met, how we started and the way he always surprised me with unexpected gifts....funny stories and what great giving guy he was. I had the love of my life in him. We had our issues recently...but were trying to work thru. For those who dont know, Dave left our home in the early hours of Sunday morning. His last text to anyone was at 5:30 a.m.....he stopped answering texts and messages after that. So incredibly unlike him.....after two hours we simply called police and began looking for him. We found his truck at his favorite restaurant by the water...but no Dave. I called, I left messages, I begged him to call. Dave couldnt swim, he wouldnt go in the water but still enjoyed being near it. At 6 pm, the police pulled a body of a man from the water near where his truck was. I was informed they had located Dave. Dave had been unexpectedly let go from his job recently, he was deeply hurt and was worried about getting a new one He was exhausted and not in the best health. I have some long days ahead of me, every day is healing. Thanks to my girls who have been there for me...Mary Lou for helping me go through papers, and just sitting with me so I am not alone. For those helping me get thru this, all the notes and calls and messages and put my life back in order....thank you thank you thank you!
