Sitting here reflecting on my day and started to feel guilty... It was one of those cinnamon rolls for breakfast, hot dogs for lunch, and pizza for dinner kind of days. Sigh... It was one of those movie first thing in the morning because boys are up early and mom and dad are exhausted kind of days. It was one of those applesauce in a pouch is still a fruit, right? kind of days. It was one of those good grief, baby is still wearing the same onesie from yesterday kind of days. And it was even one of those wait...when did I last wash my hair? kind of days. I know...gross... Just when I started to beat myself up, I realized... It was also one of those mommy and son walk around the pond kind of days. It was also one of those ride a little horsey down to town kind of days(until mommys legs felt like they had run a marathon and the horsey collapsed). It was also one of those daddy and big boy errand kind of days. It was also one of those nuzzle on the cheeks until baby lets out a belly laugh kind of days. And now, like every night, its one of those listen to Daddy read a Bible story kind of days. So maybe my kids didnt eat the healthiest meals today...And maybe they watched more than an hour of tv...And maybe I dont have a clean house or clean hair... But my kids did laugh...And they felt loved...And they were pointed back to Jesus. And tonight, that is enough. So all of you mommas who can identify with this, stop beating yourself up and trying to do it ALL. Remember whats important at the end of the day. We finished the day with a Costco run, so maybe tomorrow will be a healthy snacks and lots of fruit and veggies kind of day. And Im going to get in bed earlier, so maybe tomorrow wont be a movie in the morning kind of day. And if I am lucky, tomorrow will be a wash your hair kind of day too. But even if it isnt, thats okay too... It will be a love the kiddos and show them Jesus kind of day. And that is always enough.
