Situation report as of todays date: Not counting those veterans - TopicsExpress

Situation report as of todays date: Not counting those veterans who have passed away, or are now too immobile to ever attend again, I have had 94 responses, of which 84 have been in the affirmative. These break down as follows: 39 have been allocated to a pilot, who have been in touch with the veteran, so no more input needed from me. 13 have been allocated to a pilot, but the pilot hasnt confirmed yet that he is in touch with the veteran 32 are awaiting rostering I have something of black hole in Devon; I have 5 veterans in that area, with only 1 C172 outbound from Dunkeswell. I have had an offer from some stalwarts to plug the gap, and I will take this up if I have to. However, another aircraft or two flying out of Devon would be the best arrangement, I think. If any Devonians are reading this, please register on the site. I could do with a couple more pilots based around the Bournemouth / Popham / Lee on Solent triangle. Again, please register if you can help. A registration from the Sywell / Leicester area would also be useful. Finally, I have a thorny problem of pilot who flew Wellingtons, Lancasters, Lincolns, B29s, Canberras and Comets (!) needing a pick up from Shipdam, just west of Norwich. Ive got no-one in that area free at the moment. Veteran replies are still coming in, and Ive sent out around 2 dozen invitations to veterans who had never heard of us. The next line of enquiry will be into those ACA branches who still meet, Squadron Associations, and also the Aces High Gallery in Bucks, who invite veterans in to sign prints etc. I think they will have a roster that can supplement mine. Do ping us if you have any queries!
