Skiing is perhaps not something that comes to mind first when you think about the warm sunshine island of Cyprus, but there is an active skiing scene that operates from the middle of December to end of March at the highest mountain called Troodos. With snow around 2 meters deep and 4 operating ski slopes with ski lifts, many locals, tourists and British Forces make the most of this incredible opportunity of being able to ski the morning and swim in the afternoon on warm beaches in the same day!
