Skype with our OZ partners. After a fruitful round of exchanges between Croydon Hills Primary School, Australia and Calibre Academy International School in the previous academic year of 2013-14, both the schools are looking forward to a great interactive year full of numerous activities in the up coming academic year. The next session of interaction will begin in June 2014 with students of Grade 2 and 3 of our school exchanging information with the grade 3 and 4 students of Croydon Hills. The theme for the year 2014-15 will be Environment, Sustainability and the 3 Rs, namely- Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. A blog reporting and sharing information on the activities carried out by both the schools will be created. The motive behind this exercise is to create awareness about our country and its rich culture among the students of Croydon Hills and also to gain an understanding about Australian history, way of life and their society.In order to do so Calibre students will have a special Skype Session with the students of Croydon Hills to tell them more about the festival of Rakshabandhan. The students will also teach their Australian counterparts folk dances like Dandiya or Kolattam as well as make a presentation about Indian folklore and its importance in our lives.Our students will also tutor the Australian students to speak a few words in Hindi. Looking forward to many exciting and stimulating sessions of interaction with our partner school in Australia in the next academic year!!!!!
