Slide film RIP? It pains me to even consider the death of slide film... hell, I havent even gotten over Kodachromes demise, however the last two years of E6 processing has returned mucky, desaturated slides loaded with scratches, tar, and crappy mounting. Im not sure if the terrible saturation the last several runs is chemistry, negligence, bad film or all of the above. Regardless, the process of capturing brief, rare, precious spectacles on film is becoming less and less reliable. Please dont go my sweet grain, super long contrasty exposures, magenta lightning and warm vibes. (Slide shots attached from 1995-2005)
