Slowly but surely, the miracle is happening! The day started out on a sad note when George and Paul had to come back to us....if only landlords loved our pets as much as we do! I suppose 4 cats and a dog IS a bit much :) However, the universe tends to unfold as it should. The boys came back at 1:00, and around 4:00, they were already scooped up TOGETHER!!!! Awesome day!! Another loving soul whom Ive had the pleasure of knowing for a number of years came in to visit our kids. When she called this morning to tell me she wanted to come meet the cats, there was one cat in particular that I had in mind for her. She came for almost 2 hours really interacting with the cats and getting to know them. Were going to have another visit over the weekend. She said that she thinks she knows who she wants, but I told her I didnt want to know until she knew for sure. She has a huge heart and will give any of these guys a wonderful home....so excited for whichever lucky cat gets to go home with her. Saying a prayer :) Today, the rescue closed their doors. Now the clock is seriously ticking, and Im feeling the pressure. Ive been given a grace period, but Im not sure how long (or short) it will be....perhaps a week or two. 5 more cats to go!! Pudge, Ralphie, Gracie, and Jojo & John are still waiting patiently. I am amazed that weve come this far in such a short period of time. But I shouldnt be. I have never worked harder or prayed harder to make something happen. Thank you to all of my family and friends who continue to share these posts...and to their friends and their friends and so on. Im touched to have met some complete strangers who simply wanted to save a life....and as the pictures, text messages, and emails have shown, the cats who have already been placed in their forever homes are LOVING LIFE!! I am honored to call many of you my friends. Those fellow animal lovers who accept and embrace imperfection and recognize the potential in all animals....YOU inspire me.
