Smoke on the Square 2013 - Sunday morning recap; To the 16 great teams that filled the air with the aroma of bbq, we thank you. You all were a pleasure to work with at Smoke on the Square 2013. A brief list of our sponsors, WKKG – 101.5 Indiana Country, The Columbus Area Visitors Center, The Hope Welcome Center, Columbus Moose Lodge Family Center, Vicki Gardner-Century 21, M-Hart Trucking, Special by Design, Fourman Enterprises, The Hope Star Journal. Thank you so much for making this event successful. There are never enough words to thank all of our volunteers for the tireless efforts all for a good cause. And to our judges that have the difficult task of making the decision of the competitor’s entry, our sincere appreciation. To Tom and Kara Cuneo for coordinating the judging team and all the detailed specifics that go along with that – you are amazing. Thank you to Tom for spending his birthday at Smoke on the Square. To the person that always tries to stay out of the spotlight and take no credit for Smoke on the Square – The Grill Master – Mr. Jeff Yarnell. You ARE Smoke on the Square. This concept was your idea, you love and your passion. Without you Smoke on the Square is not possible. The list of how to make Smoke on the Square 2014 a better event is already forming. A full report of funds raised (all of which go directly to The Community Center of Hope) along with a full list of our sponsors and volunteers will be publicized soon. Thank you all so much! Alise Pate – Outreach Coordinator, Community Center of Hope.
