Snake Incident, Middlesbrough Just after 4pm today, Thursday, police were called by ambulance service colleagues who had attended a house in Westmorland Road in Middlesbrough to tend to a 20 year old man who had been bitten by a large pet snake. Police attended the address and contacted the RSPCA for expert advice on the nature of the snake and it was established that the snake’s venom is not poisonous. The snake was handed over to the RSPCA and the 20 year old was taken to A& E at James Cook University Hospital to be checked over.
