Sneak Peak at a Park: Kenai Fjords National Park – In honor of National Park Week, we take a look at how quickly change is happening in one of our Alaskan parks. These images of Exit Glacier span the last ten years – and are some of many indicators that climate change is impacting the resources of our national parks. Within one decade, Exit Glacier has receded out of these views, which is to say - the glacier has melted much faster than it has grown. Can you see this happening in other parks, as well? In a time of rapid change, we welcome your participation in many on-going studies being conducted in the parks dealing with changing climate. This is an issue that needs all of our efforts to solve.
