SnyderTalk Comment: That, my friends, is a stunning reversal. It probably will result in the creation of an independent Kurdish state that will eventually include land that is in present-day Turkey. Interestingly, the division of Iraq into sectarian provinces (i.e., independent states in due course) was considered and rejected by the Bush administration following Saddam’s fall. The Kurds know what has happened better than anybody, and they have said as much. Turkey has been fighting the PKK (Partiya Karkerên Kurdistan or the Kurdistan Workers’ Party) since 1984 to prevent the creation of a Kurdish state. Turkish leaders must realize what is likely to happen, so they must believe that surrendering a portion of their country to their bitter rivals is more advantageous than an Iraq that is unified under the militant Sunni banner. ISIS has made it clear that they intend to expand their sphere of influence by incorporating all or parts of Syria and Jordan. What comes next is anyone’s guess, but it looks as though they have set their sights on the entire Middle East region for starters. Some people probably believed that I was exaggerating when I said that Barack Obama had unleashed forces that he can’t control, but I was not. This is one example of what I was talking about. One-by-one, the dominos are falling. The march toward global war is slow but steady. In days to come, you will see many more stunning reversals as world “leaders” attempt to avoid the inevitable. Keep in mind that it all started in Cairo, Egypt with Obama’s infamous apology tour. Since that day, Obama has done everything he can think of to destroy U.S. alliances that have been in place for more than 60 years, and he has curried the favor of Islamist extremists. He has even gone so far as to integrate Islamists into his administration and to launch a nationwide PR campaign to convince the American people that harboring strong negative beliefs about radical Islam is “Islamophobia”. That is reminiscent of Joseph Goebbels efforts in Nazi Germany to prepare the German people for the eventual extermination of the Jewish race.
