So - we have these two chinchilla boys that do not get along. And I spend a really, really limited amount of time with them. I care for them and they want for nothing, but I dont spend quality time with them. I think its time to admit that someone else may be out there that can do a much better job with them, together or separately. My dogs hog all my free time, and Im OK admitting that. It is what it is. If anyone is looking for a soft pet that you want to watch in fascination and let run around safely inside your home once a day... one of these guys may be for you. Ash is friendlier, he is about 3 or 4 years old. Kristofferson is more aloof and is about 2 years old. They live for a long time, some up to 17 or 20 years! They dont have to go together, since theyd rather kill one another than get along even for a second. They have two separate giant cages. They are simple to care for, the hardest part is making time for them and keeping their habitat low humidity with no direct sunlight and under 75 degrees at all times. Otherwise, just some pellets, hay, water and a daily treat. Also they bark occasionally and are most active after dark. They like to chew on lava rocks, wood and whatever else you give them.
