So 2 days ago after getting my Comcast bill I called up their customer service. Went something like this: Me: Hi, Im calling because I dont understand why my bill is so high Comcast Rep: Because thats how much you owe us Me: ....Yes, I understand what a bill is...why is it so high? Comcast Rep: Let me check that for you...it seems that your plan was a promotion and it has expired. Me: So basically you want to charge me $66 a month plus taxes and fees for 25 Mbps internet service? Comcast Rep: Yes, that is the price. While talking to her I decided to double-check to see if FIOS had become available on my street yet. Thank God it has. Me: Why would I pay that much, Im looking at FIOS right now and I can pay less than that for TV and faster internet (50 Mbps) combined. If Im going to pay more with you than with FIOS Im switching. Comcast Rep: Well, we dont really have a way to honor competitors prices. Let me see what I can offer you...we have a double play package for $79 a month. Me: How is that a deal? I literally just told you I can pay less than $66 with FIOS. Comcast Rep: Well, sir, that is all I can offer you. Is there anything else I can help you with? Me: What do you mean anything ELSE? What do you think you helped me with? Whatever, have a good day. Comcast Rep: Have a good day, and thank you for choosing Comcast. Me: Choosing Comcast? Who in their right mind would choose Comcast? The only reason I have Comcast is because when I signed up for the service FIOS wasnt available on my street. I will have a nice day, because I will be calling FIOS and signing up with them. Oh, Comcast, our time of your crappy service, double billing, and terrible prices is coming to an end. May your terrible company fail at everything it does. #FIOS
