So... Amidst all the chaos of last minute meetings and packing, I have finally found time to sit and reflect on what this journey means to me: I have had the great privilege to travel to places like India, Florida, London and Jamaica all as a youngster but this journey to Turkey is going to be my first international trip on my own budget and for my own desire to grow and learn about the world. Very often we get stuck on our bubbles and only by taking some time to see the world do we see how much we have yet to learn. I have taken books, my computer for work and my phone for pictures but my most valuable item is my open heart and inquisitive and adventurous heart that will accompany me on this trip for 2 weeks. There is no word that would suffice to describe how blessed and excited I feel. Buon voyage everyone! Thank you for the role YOU have played in getting me to this point in my life where I get to do and be who I want to be and not what others want me to be. Well speak again from Turkey or from the plans if I decide to post a picture...
