So Christ himself gave the apostles,the prophets,the evangelists,the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature,attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves,and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love,we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head,that is, Christ. Eph 4:11 Gods desire is to have all christians become mature. He doesnt want people to remain infants after they have been born again. Being born again is a reality and after you are born again you have to grow. Understand that in the natural world,a baby born today is fully human as a professor of physics. They both have 5 sense, 2 eyes, 2 nostrils, 2 hands but the overal output of these two people is different not because od their nature or ability but because of how much their abilities have been exercised.If a child doesnt exercise his physical abilities to walk,he may still be crawling at the age of 15 not because he cant walk but because he hasnt exercised his abilities in that direction. Your Spiritual abilities are to be exercised, your intellectual abilities are to be exercised, no man has more brains than the other infact the one who has more is in trouble. We all have what it takes to change the world of our time and make impact that will reach generations next but its only ability under intelligent control that is of commercial value. God doesnt want people queing for a touch from a man of God, no. God wants you to realise that CHRIST IS IN YOU and that Christ is greater than anything you can face in life. Until a Christian knows who he is, what he has and what he can do, he wont live to the full potentials of his ability. IN CHRIST its not about how long you have been born again or how many church uniforms you have,or what title your church gave you,its about HOW MUCH YOUR SPIRITUAL ABILITIES HAVE BEEN EXERCISED. Just because you are older in years than somebody doesnt mean you are mature, and just because you are leading a group doesnt make you mature more than all the members,no . Many times leaders are put for adminstration purposes so dont think you are more mature coz you are appointed a leader. James talks about the elders of Church that they will pray for the sick and the sick shall be healed, Pastor Solo always tell me that those who dont heal the sick are surely not elders in James mind. Infants are tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine, they go to every prophet who has risen in town looking for deliverance, or an anointing, they are unstabble, they eat every doctrine as long as it was preached by a man of God. Infants dont judge, havent you seen how babes at home can even eat a lizard, everything that gets into their hands they want to eat, if you buy them a toy car u will see them taking it to the mouth. Grow up, 1 Peter said, you grow by the milk of the word. You dont grow by attending religious services or simply putting a church uniform. You grow by eating HEALTHY FOOD, not every food is healthy food, not well cooked food can kill you. You cant eat poison and expect to grow, so if you have been in a church that doesnt give you good food, its wise to pull back and out. God wants everything about you to conform with JESUS so that people wont be able to tell between you and JESUS.Wow..... You have the full abilities of CHRIST IN YOU but remember IT IS ONLY THE ABILITY THAT YOU EXERCISE THAT IS OF VALUE, I will share with you later something important on ABILITY UNDER INTELLIGENT CONTROL.
