So Comcast finally fixed my internet service. And by my I mean the entire street, which had been out for over 24 hours. It took five calls before someone admitted the whole area was out, plus one call to remove an invalid service charge ... they tried to charge 39.95 for activating my own modem, the one I bought to replace the one that they just increased the monthly lease fee on ... nobody visited the house, so I dont know why I would charge myself forty bucks to put in my own modem. I think the technicians that showed up were great. The call center service reps ... not so much. The backend process thats supposed to connect them all ... also crap. The scheduling of appointments I never requested and cancellation of appointments I did make ... very much crap. And when a Comcast rep tells you to visit comcast.net after calling up to report an internet outage, they do it with no sense of irony. I cant visit your website until you fix my internet. So Im glad the service is up and running, but Im hoping Google Fiber shows up in Loganville sometime soon.
