So EDH/Commander Fans, We have wrapped up September’s EDH League and it is now time for a brand new EDH League for October. Most of the rules are going to remain the same with a couple notable exceptions. Normal EDH construction rules will be observed, but the card type “Conspiracy” will not be allowed for use in the game as it had a disproportional effect on the league this last time. On that note, it is worth saying that this modified Armada League system is intended for people to come in and have fun, and play a solid two hours’ worth of EDH on a Tuesday evening. Playing degenerate combo decks is not encouraged. To that end, for the month of October there will be a 3 point penalty for “combo-ing out”. Anything that is an obvious attempt to make infinite mana, attack turns, infinite damage or the like is discouraged. That isn’t to say that we don’t want to see competitive decks, just keep it honest so everyone can enjoy themselves. On a more positive note, the prizing system did well this last time so we are going to run this one the same way. The buy-in for the league is still going to be $5 with half of the proceeds going to first prize and the rest being distributed as random door prizes throughout the league. That said, the new league starts this Tuesday at 1800, so be sure to have your decklist ready.
