So I am tired of the whole ice water on the head thing and Im very ready for it to be over because I want to see dry people in my feed again. I did contribute in a small way....very small... like 6 tablespoons or so. (Mainly because my small children would not hear of me going back on a dare.) But that is all the enthusiasm I could manage. Talking with a friend this evening Ive discovered that some of the money from the ALS challenge will be used to fund embryonic stem cell research. I want to make it abundantly clear that I do NOT support that in any way, shape or form. That being said, my kids are seriously enjoying the dares and the water and the muhnominations (Judah) and I see no reason to deprive them of their good times when they have no clue what a stem cell even is. I will not be sending a dime to ALS research without investigating it further and I would advise all those who I or my silly kids muhnominate to keep your $ until you check it out. If you feel like thrilling my kids please go ahead and dump ice water on your head anyway and then donate to the Barksdale Vacation Fund so we can get out more. =)
