So I attended the public meeting in Helensburgh after work tonight - TopicsExpress

So I attended the public meeting in Helensburgh after work tonight regarding independence - I was the Tadger sitting filthy and wearing wellies , who you could probably smell from the other side of the hall . I went out of indecision and with an open mind to hear all the #Yes camp had to say . I sat down on my own as the list of people I had asked to come had all turned me down . And as the hall had pretty much filled up I realised , there was not a single person that I new sitting in any of the seats . #Nicolasturgeon had made a great case for independence and in my opinion answered all questions well and in detail however , thats not why Im writing this . This isnt a you should vote yes or no status I dont consider myself a smart man , I certainly dont consider myself in any position to argue any of the arguments Im sure this status will raise. I am however disgusted that I know a hell of a lot of people from the Helensburgh and Loch Lomond area , and a lot of them who Make very bold claims about voting yes or no , and persuade others to do the same because of ridiculous reasons like passports, or the dislike of Alex salmond or we should be independent because we dont like the English .. Reasons that will seriously affect the future of this country that have no solid footing what so ever . In around four weeks time there is an incredibly important vote not just for you , but for your family and children - regardless what you vote do it for your own reason , not because you heard a whopper from a friend , or you dont like the politician behind it . Open your eyes to this very realistic situation , and try your best to see through all of the political shite! And scare stories on all sides This referendum is your decision either way - dont let it be a decision made from ignorance
