So, I finally accepted the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge from Josh - TopicsExpress

So, I finally accepted the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge from Josh Becker, Rachna Nivas, and Evan Low with a few of my personal touches: 1) I used recycled shower water (even for the ice cubes) used for this chalenge and sat over grass in need of extra water; 2) I made the full $100 contribution to ALS research. Go to alsa.org to learn about ALS and to consider making a donation; 3) Understanding the context of this trend spreading like wildfire against the context of other national and world events, I am making a donation in the same amount to Feed the Students of Ferguson. Visit fundly and key in the above phrase if you are interested in supporting the kids suffering through the trauma the city is going through.; 4) I also agree that the over $41 million raised for ALS research is a great thing but takes our eyes off the underlying fact that the National Institute of Health has been drastically underfunded over the years. So, after dunking yourself, take time to volunteer by knocking on doors or make contributions for Congressional candidates who support science and the funding of science research. I give you 72 hours and encourage the use of recyycled water over vegetation. Now, watch this....
