So I go over to Wayne Fugate s today. Wayne is an exceptional mandolin player and my long time neighbor. He wanted to show me this program for bringing music sheets onto the iPad, I think its called Sibelus or something like that. Apparently, Wayne mistook me for an actual musician. This Sibelus program is more for sheet music notation, etc. Im just a local gig hack who doesnt want to forget the words to Tequila Sunrise halfway through the second verse, I use Adobe Acrobat, we both agreed that was more my speed. To underscore the disparity in our musical sophistication, as Im playing him one of my original songs, he starts asking me frightening questions regarding the time signature. I told him I just play the song, I dont know that, youre scaring me now. He figured it out quickly. He is so far above my music pay grade its a little silly, but it was great hearing his lyrical mandolin lines over my songs. Also, Wayne has a Bach action figure in his studio.
