So I go to the New York Times center to go to this town hall thing on LGBT youth with Cyndi Lauper speaking. Well she speaks for all of maybe 10 minutes followed by a panel of eight very boring LGBT youths rambling on for nearly two more hours. I swear whoever chose the panel said "find every gay stereotype, but make sure they are of the most bland variety". From the blond white boy from the small midwest town to the militant black lesbian ...all with the most feel good, but completely non-compelling stories. Until they get to Zee Zee ...the 6 foot 4 tall tranny with black leather knee high boots, tight jeans on her rail thin frame and plunging leopard print blouse exposing nearly all of her bosom. Her foundation is at least two shades too light and she wears fake black rimmed glasses adding the only slightly serious touch. But she was EVERYTHING ! She was the only one that put things bluntly and honestly, revealing a gritty but inspiring story. I was enthralled by her and wished they had dedicated the entire two hours to Zee Zee. Someone needs to give her her own reality show ! She is a true star !!
