So I got woke up by the phone this morning. Denny had left early - TopicsExpress

So I got woke up by the phone this morning. Denny had left early to run some errands in town. It was my Denny Bob telling me to quick get dressed and meet the food delivery truck at the gate and direct him to the dining hall. So I pulled on jeans over pjs put on my wellington boots and grabbed a jacket followed by pulling a hat on. I found myself a few minutes later shaking hands with the new delivery semi truck driver. Follow me I say as I start hoofing it up the muddy camp road in my wellingtons. As I am hoofing it up there it dawns on me. I dont know too many people that direct trucks on foot like this Not to worry as I out walked the truck by a mile. He had to go really slow around the corner to the dining hall. So we get there and I show him the loading dock and explain to him that Dan (Yes it does seem our delivery guys are all named Dan) backs up to the loading dock. I can tell he thinks I am crazy when I tell him that. I tried to tell him how to pull up over by the dumpsters and then back up. That had to be amusing to the man upstairs as we all know what a proficient semi trucker I am. Now keep in mind that we do stand to the side and direct the truck drivers with hand signals when they are backing up to the loading dock. Anyway this guy decided to just haul the dolly up the stairs instead of trying to back up the loading dock. He said he needed a workout for the day. I of course didnt argue. So the frozen stuff gets put in the freezer, the cold stuff in the cooler and dry goods in the pantry. I said my goodbyes and walked home. He did tell me that this route was going to take some getting used to. He had delivered to Crystal Mountain Ski Resort before coming here. He was a nice man and I sure hope he gets used to this crazy park route. Oh I did see him pull out of camp about 20 minutes after I got back to the house. So happy he didnt get stuck.
