So I had a situation which has prompted me to speak out on behalf - TopicsExpress

So I had a situation which has prompted me to speak out on behalf of both Island Healthcare and the Marthas Vineyard Hospital and The Stop and Shop Pharmacy. On Thursday I awoke with a severe lower abdominal cramp and worked all day barely able to straighten up. It persisted until I went to see Physicians Assistant Judy Jones at Island Healthcare adjacent to the Stop and Shop Pharmacy at Triangle. Judy Jones gave me the most old-fashioned genuine care imaginable, listening carefully to me, asking me to repeat, remove her stethoscope so that she could better hear me, etc. She order some appropriate testing which rendered me taking an antibiotic. This antibiotic said that if you experience joint swelling, contact your doctor immediately. Today I drove with pudgy, swollen knees to the ER (not supposed to drive on this stuff). The attendants there were responsive and caring and my doctor, Tamara Thome was very kind and informative. I had an hour to get to the pharmacy with a new script, They filled it within fifteen minutes and even stayed extra time to make sure that I got a refund since they overcharged me for the stuff that made my knees swell. I have to say that I felt very well-cared for and I especially recall the personal, yet professional, and above all kind nature of physicians assistant Judy Jones. I harbor deep gratitude to each of you.
