So I had an awesome day that ended in tragedy. I was getting the bait shop tour at browns creek after our veterans day event which was awesome. As I proceeded out to their floating dock to check the water pump out that feeds their bait tanks this jack hole proceeds to fight a bull red. I use the term jack hole because he had no clue. He grabs the bull (easily 37-40 inches) and starts up the walk way I just left. I ask what he was doing. He said in no fewer words i ask them if legal. I proceeded to tell the idiot as he is walking up the ramp holding onto the gills and letting this beauty hang that it was over slot. He said I still ask her. So as you can tell this foreign piece of s&$: had no clue. So I followed him through the parking lot. The bait guy was there and he asked him if it was good. He said no. So I followed him back to the floating dock where he put the fish back in the water. After about a minute of revival the fish floated not swam away. He killed the fish because he had no clue. So for anyone wanting to go fishing learn the regulations. Also it is your duty to report infractions when they occur. As the jack hole was walking I punched in my speed dial number for fwc and I was prepared to stand in front of his car if the situation turned out that way. A gentleman on the floating dock and me told him it was illegal. So long story short. Learn the regs. You go fishing know what you can and cant keep. I a little pissed off that a bull red had to die because of ignorance if that is what it was.
