So I have a window in my bedroom that has a big hole between the window itself and the frame (letting air just pour in) I also have two windows in the living room that just let wind scream in...( making my furnace run more because it is so cold in here from that air ) The furnace also screeches sometimes when its on. Now Ive consulted my landlord and had a discussion about it and she has no intention on fixing the windows. She claims they are old, which I know and it is true. However I am renting the apartment, so maintenance should be kept up and I should not have to pay for plastic and other miscellaneous stuff out of my pocket to keep up on an apartment in which I am renting. We have had problems like this before and some of them are still not fixed. I had to have her come over to look at the one window for her to realize how bad the one is, so the one with a hole in my room she had her dad fix. She also thinks that just because she has a key to the apartment, she thinks she can come in without any notice (she dont care if we are there or not) legally she is suppose to give a 24hr notice so we know. Any ideas on what I should do? Im fed up with this shit...
