So I have seen this coming and predicted a civil war within the Ukraine since the first reports of popular protests against their president in te fall of last year. Whatever the international community decides to do about this situation I believe it must be done hastily and without military force. There are treaties we have with the Ukraine that states we are obligated to defend it from invasionary forces. Lets not let a web of treaty alliances give us a repeat of the First World War. Aside from that opinion which is my own, let this situation in Ukraine serve as a lesson in the utilization of propoganda. The news on the ground from both us and Russian networks are contradictory and quite frankly laughable in their utilization of rhetoric and out right lies in their propaganda. Make no mistake, every nation uses propaganda, especially ours, and we the people need to sift through the hay stack to find the actual needle. Intervention by either Russia or the us is harkening back to intervention in the Russian civil war which did far more damage and loss of life than the feb and Oct revolutions combined. I not a communist apologist but I do believe in revisionism academics and this is eerily similar to the same episode. Thoughts?
