So, I have this co-worker that insists on pronouncing the Korean corporation, Hyundai like it is going to die - Hyun-die. After offering the correct pronunciation, I am gifted with Whats the difference? and Whats the big deal? You know what I mean. Today, I was talking about my research efforts into buying a new car. I shared my story of thinking about buying a Chevrolet. So, it seems that my pronunciation of Chevrolet, -Ch, like cheese and -let as let and not lay, was a major problem for him~! SMH
