So, I just combined in one Word file all of the chapters and the intro to my dissertation (Being and Suffering: Toward an Existentialist Understanding of Memory, Trauma, and Violence). In the current state it weighs in at 188 pages. I still need to add maybe 15 pages to one chapter and 3-4 pages to a few more, plus the conclusion, which will be about 10-15 pages. So, grand total will be around 230 pages or so. Nothing titanic, but not a tossed-off pamphlet either. I will likely have to beef it up before submitting it to university presses, but as a first draft of a book, its beginning to feel solid.
