So I just discovered that Ive apparently accidently grown tadpoles in Roys swimming pool...Its set up under the carport and I just kinda forgot about it for awhile...awhile being the amount of time it evidently takes to grow a good sized tadpole...actually two of them...with brand new sets of back legs...and lumps where their front legs are going to eventually be....So being the soft hearted and curious person that I am...I cant just rinse them out and refill the pool...Ive got to finish raising them now.....I think it would be neat to watch them grow into complete frogs and know that they were living somewhere right here in my little green area up around the house......and to see whether they turn out to be a big ol toad...or one of those frogs that looks like a leopard...or maybe even one of those little sticky fingered, bright green tree frogs...Ive found out online that at the age these guys are, they apparently eat lettuce...boiled and dried...and small insects....I reckon I can cook lettuce, but theyre on their own as far as gathering small insects goes....I think I need to name them....One of them, Im thinking the bigger one, should obviously be named Tad...but I need some help on coming up with something appropriate for the other one....Im sorry I can be no help in telling you whether it should be a male or female name...Im afraid I know nothing about identifying frog genitals...or even if theyve grown all their junk yet...
