So I just left the gym and had the most amazing experience in a long time.. For years now since my dad and mom past away this time of year is hard for me to even get up in the morning. So Im into my 3rd set listening to my fav band with earbuds and I turn around to find a twenty something year old kid who Ive never seen before with a straight bar in his hand. Like a lot of times people do this and its basically gesturing how many sets you have left. But not this time. Leaving my earbuds in I said I only have one more set left. But he continued to stand there. So I took my earbuds out to hear what he had to say, and all he said was can you help me put this bar on this machine. Not thinking anything of it, I said sure and took the bar and put it on the machine and went back to the orher machine I was using which was right next to him and finished my last set. While I was in the middle of my set I saw him out of the corner of my eye, using his right hand he picked up his left hand and placed it on the bar then placed his right hand on the other side and proceeded to do tricep push downs. I stop in the middle of my set when emotions filled me up. I went over to him after his set and asked him if he needed anymore help. He looks at me dead in the eye (which not to many people do) and says Yes thank you! Im sorry I need help but I had a stroke. So I said to him do need to say sorry, it could be worse right. And he continued to look at me in the eye and with a big smile he said your right, Im HERE arent I.. So I introduced myself, shook his hand and told him any help he needs to let me know. I put my earbuds back on and one of my fav songs from BO was JUST starting to play, FEAR! After that song played I had to leave because of the emotions that over took me. The last verse of the song goes Breath, and ask for more. If your bitter still, ask HIM to help you carry on.. Thank you Cody for allowing me to help you as YOU helped me.
