So I just sat through The Rescuers: Down Under. As I said, I loved this movie as a kid, but I havent seen this movie for about 10 or so years. As a 22 year old perspective, this absolutely holds up, hardcore. Im actually surprised that no a lot of people remember this movie, even if this was the only animated sequel produced by Disney. Ya know those long-lost gems that people feel like they know its gonna be great but they never seem to bother because they think its not gonna satisfy them, thats this movie. I looked up the reception, and this was actually pulled from theaters very quickly since this was the generation when Disney was on a high roll, keep in mind this was after Little Mermaid and before Beauty and the Beast. Honestly, I really wish this wasnt pulled, this needs to be seen by many people. Its an outstanding adventure with by far the greatest songs, Im linking the theme song here, its fantastic. Theres also unexpected actors I didnt realize till now like John Candy and George C. Scott, they were both very faithful to this role and were my favorite part of this movie. If you can find this on DVD or have a Netflix account, definitely see this!
