So I kept Calypso on the Prozac...after those few nights where she wouldnt settle I started giving it to her in the morning and weve had nice peaceful nights with no issues. I guess it was the time of day I was giving it to her, also no more cowering. We also had a big step in the way of good for her! She ran up to greet my brother who shes growled at an awful lot, never tried to bite but just growled at she was so excited to see him kissed his hands he pet her she enjoyed it tail wagging harder than ever before, even with a baseball hat on! She finally accepted him, didnt care where he went in the house and was just full of kisses for him :) It seems to be a matter of frequency she has to see the person more than a few times before she feels safe. Ive also been clicking and treating when shes being good in the house and having good interactions. We brought in a foster greyhound along side her and Calypso is super excited and loves her they have put each other in their place a few times both ways. But Calypso learned fast to not disturb her when she is laying down and resting and is even careful that whens he plays tug of war with the pug mix to not step back too far. Its like the suddenly have a feeling of mutual respect :) she gets a tiny bit upset if the greyhound is anywhere near her while food is being given to her but other than that. Its been a smooth transition. We will most likely be adopting the greyhound. There was one in the house when she first arrived he passed about a month after she came in due to cancer at age 14 and she absolutely loved him. So heres to hoping we have the same luck!
