So,I stood there, sort of eves-dropping. Mostly because the eye-glass kit I needed to open the back of my watch that died, wasnt near the glasses. The pharmacist told a client that he was going to retire in two weeks after working at K-Mart for 30 years. He had just had open heart surgery and was planning on doing something like he saw in the movie, Wild Hogs with his brother. They both wanted to take a tour across the U.S on their Harleys. He made a joke about takin some babes with him, but then knew his wife of 46 years wouldnt be too keen on that. He had a really awesome mustache and seemed like a nice gent. So I waited until they were finished talking and told him my diamond (chips) watch had died. He asked me if I saw the eye-glass kit next to the reading glasses, because there was a tiny screwdriver in there that wouldve opened up the back. I told him I had looked and didnt see it. He came around to see if I was just some old bag who wasnt looking at things right. Sure enough, the last one had been bought. Then, he did something remarkable. He locked the front glass wall of the pharmacy and said, Hey, its almost time for me to close up anyway, so Ill go to my truck in the parking lot and get you a tiny screwdriver for your watch. I stood there dumbfounded. Sure enough, he came back with the tiniest screwdriver and said, Keep it, I have another one at home. Okay everyone, this is your K-MART in Fort Collins on College Ave. I told him I just couldnt do that, and he said, Just tell your friends to shop here, especially cause Im leaving and I want this awesome store to keep being patronized. I actually had tears in my eyes as I drove away.
