So.... I took the plunge and did the free upgrade to OSX 10.9 Mavericks. Hate to disappoint, but it definitely isnt a 40-foot swell. There are lots of little things that are better (the Calendar rocks!), but its not a game-changer as the name might imply. All-in-all, its an incremental improvement, and while it isnt ground-breaking, its worth the download. Takes about an hour and a half to two hours to download and install though, so be patient! :)
