So I want you to start looking at things and thinking about them, things being said and done. Those who agree with these opinions will say theres nothing to it and that theres nothing to see here. Theyll say its over reacting. And yet the more I hear these things the more concerned I become. It started with a man who said that he wanted to fundamentally change America. Later on when several scandals began it became similar to what Nixon said during Watergate, that nothing was going on and anyone talking about it was trying to make something of nothing. Our kids were told that this was what they would eat for lunch because they decided what was best. We were told we werent smart enough to know not to order a large drink so they were banned. We were told trans fats were bad so they were banned. The same groups tell us that we should combine religion and politics yet turns their beliefs like global warming into religious experiences. At the same time while claiming Judeo-Christian beliefs are old school and dont fit into the modern world, that people who think that way are behind the times, they refuse to call Islamist extremists what they are and continue to say we should respect that culture, bowing down to anything they want at times. This past week the First Lady told students that if they found their grandparents or elders saying anything they might consider racist to confront them which to me sounded a lot like Germanys Nazis or Russias Communists saying to report those who didnt follow party lines. Now Im reading that scientist and environmental activist David Suzuki thinks that any politician who disagrees with his observations about global warming (Or is it global cooling? Or maybe climate change? The name keeps changing) should be jailed. And the host of the show he was on, Bill Moyers, doesnt disagree with him but has a problem because of the number of jails it would require to incarcerate everyone who doesnt agree. So apparently they feel that political dissent, if not run by them, should be silenced. And the network Moyers show is on, PBS, is funded by money that you and I pay in taxes. Is it just me or does a lot of this sound like Germany just prior to WWII?
