So I was like, I know Mr. President, Id love to hang again too -- but its not like the Northeast -- Fort Worth and Austin are 3 hours apart -- I cant just pop over -- I couldnt even get to Austin before Midnight tonight. And he was like, Midnight? So? -- Bill will just be getting going by then. And I tried tell him how busy I am here in the Fort, but he gave me the whatevs, Joel, like I was Boehner. I finally gave in after he pulled out the LBJ, Civil Rights and history cards. Okay, okay, OKAY!.. Ill throw some things in a bag and head that way... but you cant keep me out all night like last time in DC. Besides you have a speech to give in the morning.. As I hung up I heard, yeah, yeah -- oh and Bill wants you to stop and get him a couple dozen Very Berry kolaches in West. The things we do for friends... So Im headed to the ATX. 🎉 (Please note, the above conversation may or may not have actually happened... outside my head)
