So I was registering my son for school and I was reading policy - TopicsExpress

So I was registering my son for school and I was reading policy for the school on usage of personal devices, such as cell phones or iPads or micro recorders, and tech, devices that may be used by students to record lessons or video classes. Students are NOT allowed to record teachers or take videos of classes at all, as if the teachers have something to hide... Hmmmmm. and then it goes on to say that (and this is the part that bothers me) at any time teachers or principals or school officials are allowed to confiscate iPads, cell phones, any tech device they choose and go through them view pictures, text messages, phone calls made, All FILES. (Do u know how fast a picture or a file can be copied or sent to another phone, I did it today it took me 8 secs to copy a pic to my buddys phone. And Im not the most tech savy guy. Yes Im sure my kids are faster) Im sure this All in the best interest of the school.. Uhh I dont believe I will be signing that form.. If my child wants to text me something personal its not the schools business. Now the rebuttals to this will be, then they wont be allowed to bring devices from home and they may miss important assignments that would be assigned on a tech device. I graduated high school with out the use of an iPad. It can be done I know it may take a little more effort to teach, but hey thats what you signed up for. Now If you happen to catch my kid sending texts msgs during test(highly unlikely) then bust him out on it. But until then... No Pioneer u will not get my permission to invade my sons personal space..
