So I was thinking (rather randomly) this morning about how much I love to paint - unfold the easel, squeeze some color onto a palette & just go crazy! The only problem is that Im really bad at it. (Ive never let that deter me though!) I think the best part of being a bad painter is that I can start with a subject in mind & before long, it looks like something else entirely. Ive learned to just go with it. Sometimes what started as a dog may morph into a cloud, then a silo, then maybe a fish. (Its always an adventure!) Come to think of it, thats kind of how life goes sometimes - we start in one direction, but then it looks like something else. Maybe we fight it, maybe we just go with it. (Ive done plenty of both!) I guess its something like acceptance to roll with the new direction, even though its tough if were really attached to the original idea. But - just like the really bad picture of a dog that became a beautiful fish - sometimes it ends way better than we expected. Today, Im going to dive in with a direction in mind - and Im gonna do my best to stay open to new ones that may emerge … happy Tuesday, friends!
