So I watched the movie Just Friends again the other day (dont ask) and its technically about Ryan Reynolds going back into his quaint little Jersey town after 10 years of absenteeism and weight loss and thusly trying to hook up with his old high school sweetheart. Of course, hes now all big fancy LA record executive (or something similarly high profile) and his crush is a relatively lowly local bartender. And it got me thinking about this ten year anniversary thing coming up. And I started thinking: what if Im like Ryan Reynolds and Satellite is my Jersey town? Which of my high school exs would be my Amy Smart? What if Im a high powered gainfully employed wealthy lady killer with awesome cheekbones? .... Turns out.... Im not. In fact, my job doesnt even pay as well as the lowly local bartender. My current car has more miles on it than my car in HS. No matter what I do, my cheeks are still puffy and rounded. And I *seriously* doubt any high school sweetheart of mine wants to reconnect with me. So I guess in the end... my life isnt like a crappy outdated cheesy movie after all! Thank goodness, right?! WHEW, thats a load off my mind. Night yall!
