So I went to Costco (in las vegas off Charleston) today and as I was leaving there were two girls about 16/17 with a gas can asking for money because they had run out not too far from here, and needed just enough to get home a few more miles from Costco so after I saw another man turn them down I said I will tell you what I will put gas in your gas can for you, they quickly said OK and began walking off, and I said where did you want to meet? The chevron right next door or Costco? They said whichever, I said ok meet you at the Costco pumps. They hurried in that direction as I finished loading my car with way too much stuff I bought! I hurried also to meet them at the pump, but they were no where to be found, I waited and put gas in my own car even... Still no girls. So I left. Frustrated to say the least, so irritating that people of all ages are so eager and willing to take advantage of others kindness. I am willing to help others in need but I really wish we lived in a more honest world where we didnt have to sift through the users and moochers to find those who are really in need. I recommend helping others but if you have the time, instead of handing over cash, offer them gas or food or whatever it is they say they need, I kinda like knowing when I try to do something kind that it actually goes to a good cause. Give a hand up not a hand out!
