So I went to get the oil changed on my SS and they had this road course eating monster in the showroom. 2015 Camaro Z28! A car that has very little in common with lesser Camaros. No this beastly brick had lots of weight removed and its suspension and driveline replaced with one off components and exotic materials develop by GMs Corvette racing division. The engineers were given a pass to go all out on this car. And the resulting product is a wicked piece of automotive engineering. This big brick of a muscle car that can pull similar or faster road course lap times than super cars costing two or three times more. In fact its even pulled quicker times than Nissan s all mighty GTR on a few tracks. The thing has the widest front tires fitted to any production car, yes those fenders are flared and the rubber still sticks out. The brakes make my brembos look silly and the 500hp naturally aspirated small block out of the last gen Corvette Z06 is a nice touch. Now the question do I want this car, hell yes. But would I want to live with it every day hell no. As amazing as it is and though its street legal this is basically a race car. Its meant to spend its life at the road course at weekend track events and sit in the garage Mon to Fri. With so few made this will be bought by collectors who will seal them away in garages for 40 years and guys who have the money for a track toy. Awesome car but for the same money I can my myself a new C7 Stingray and drivr it everyday.
