So I went to this orientation the other day and one of the topics was on diversity. Now the lady giving the speech was referring to herself as a brown girl, which I thought was a little weird. So I ask FB today what is the difference between black and brown? Maybe its my ignorance, but just curious to what others think. I know there is different shades of black but at the end of the day i didnt know that people refer to themselves as the shades of the color and not just call themselves black O_o Katherine Lumley I know u can help me with this one :)?
