So. I will never use the US Postal Service to ship anything ever - TopicsExpress

So. I will never use the US Postal Service to ship anything ever again. We sent our friend Chuck a couple of packages for christmas. We double checked his address with him and his mother and when we wrote it on the package. His mother sends him stuff (UPS) all the time. Suddenly, USPS cant deliver to that address as addressed at such and such time and date, (at which Chuck was home). So its being returned to sender. Apparently that means they stop tracking it. I called the post office and got told that it could take up to 30 days to get back to us, and they dont know where it is, and they have no way of finding out where it is. If it doesnt show up we are allowed to file a claim...but there is nothing they can do for us. I was also told I guess you shouldve gotten insurance, because without it... The whole conversation was completely emotionless. There was no, gee Im sorry, or I wish there was something I could do, or anything. It was like I was talking to a robot. Correct me if Im wrong here; when I pay you to deliver my package, it is then in your care. If you cant seem to deliver to an address that others are able to, why would you stop tracking it? Is it REALLY that hard to scan a package with your little scanners? Is it really so hard to have decent customer service ESPECIALLY when you are slowly being replaced by other delivery services? Isnt that the time to prove youre worth keeping around, and try to actually KEEP your customers? Thanks USPS, for nothing. Im getting my money back, and I will never go through you again. I will not reccomend you either. Even if you lost my package, you couldve, at the very least, cared about it.
