So I woke up this morning at 4am...and while I was laying there- irritated that I was awake..I decided to ask the Lord if He wanted to tell me anything since I was up. He said yes. (imagine that) Hannah, when youre married, never forget to be gracious. Its so easy for you to be gracious to people who youve just met, acquaintances or even good friends...but you are more critical of family and those closest to you...they become more a part of you and you seem to think that that gives you more space to be offended when they wrong you. It will be easy to be patient in the beginning. To think the best and to assume that your husband has the best in mind when he speaks...but as you grow in your knowledge of him, it will be automatic for you to forget that he too needs for you to look for the good in him. Thats what Im calling you to do in your future. To assume the best, and even when that assumption is wrong- to be gracious and gentle. Basically, let your relationship and understanding deepen, but never allow yourself to take this person for granted. I felt a little speechless and be to be completely honest, I thought He was being sort of random. But I accepted it, thanked Him and went to sleep. When He just now brought it up again and asked me to put it on line, again I thought a little random, are we? but I decided to not question it... So here you go Facebook. A little Jesus and Hannah moment.
