So... Im not super crazy mom, in that my children never have sugar, but I am pretty strict (when they do have sugar, i prefer that it be in a natural, organic state...and, yes, I have been known to ask the Easter Bunny to bring baskets full of organic fruits and veggies!) And, I am a-okay with that!... the littles only drink milk (organic) or water (reverse-osmosis). (Yes, I cringe when Harper asks to drink water from a water fountain... but... I let her!) ;) So, milk and water it is, ...unless they need some watered down juice (organic) with which to take medicine. And aside from (and including) beverages, we go all organic, all the time. And, please dont get me wrong, our grocery budget isnt such that we can easily afford to go all organic, all the time. But we do. I firmly believe that regardless of our budget, we cant afford NOT to go all-organic, all-natural, all the time. (I believe very strongly that you invest in your health proactively throughout the course of your life or you pay for it retroactively later in life. And when it comes to my kids, there is no other option than to be proactive!) And, having a child with autism, I am also hyper-aware of toxins and chemicals in our foods. Which is actually the reason why I first started researching nutritional cleansing. Most of you know that I have released almost 20 lbs of toxic weight, and plan to release 20 more in 2015. What many of you dont know is that my kiddos are Isa-babies for life! I wish I had taken a video of a typical morning at our house before starting the kiddos on shakes and a video of a typical morning at our house now. A video would replace any need for me to continue, but please let me say that the VERY first thing that I do every morning is mix up a shake for both of my kiddos. Our bodies thrive in an alkaline state, and the same holds true for our children! #CleanLiving2015
