So Im on my evening commute home when a bus driver accidentally slams the door on a boarding passenger. The woman cries out in protest, understandably! She says: hey Im here you dont have to close the door on me!!! To which the bus driver answers, with far more disdain than needed: well I didnt see you!! What do you think about that!! So the passenger says: I should file a complaint the driver then replies: go ahead! file your complaint!!! I get paid 2 extra hours when a complaint is filed against me! Now, normally I would assume Id misunderstood, However, this is not the first time Ive heard such a retort come from a bus driver. Another driver once explained to me that they get compensated when a complaint is filed against them for the emotional abuse that occurs during altercations with passengers. I dont know about your working conditions, but if I get a complaint file against me, I get penalized or at the very least a stern talking to, not a bonus! The advantages included in these union agreements which sometimes border on the absurd, as weve just illustrated, are definitely enough to cripple any economy. So the point Im getting at is that these people, civil servants, should not be surprised when people like myself, hardworking honest tax payers, aka their retirement fund, arent very supportive of their stand against the Projet de Loi 3 Although the Projet de Loi 3 pertains to retirement plans not all rediculous union clauses, the general consensus is that civil servants are set for life and could never want for anything; unlike most of the middle and lower class tax payers, the same average joes that take public transit. I do beleive that such blatant disregard for the people that live paycheck to paycheck is abhorrent. That being said... If they want more support from the general public, they should learn to hold their tongues in public and have some compassion for those of us that work just as hard if not more to take care of them in their old age!!! Okay, my rant is over. That will be all!
