So Im out yesterday, having accompanied Margi as far as the door to the treatment unit, and I go the chemist, feeling fine. Get my scripts, then pop into Vinnies where I pick up a few cheap vampire anthologies. While there the migraine hits me - bugger! Still have to go to the post office, so I proceed there while a coruscating dance of kaleidoscopic light dances and blinds me in my right eye. I struggle through the postage with sympathy from my very friendly post lady at Hospital Hill Newsagency. As I come out to head home, the migraine turns double-sided. I have stupidly forgotten to bring my sunnies with me. Now the flashing lights are in my left eye and its starting to feel like someone is jamming an icepick in the side of my skull. No fun, my babe, no fun. Back home, I drop an Immigran and lie in the dark for an hour until the visual disturbance recedes, get up again to enjoy the actual headache which lasts several hours. Margi gives me a head massage which helps quite a bit. Head still feeling mushy today. Roll on the neurologist appointment - been waiting eight months to get in and will finally see him on Sept 9.
